Student Food Pantry

The Student Food Pantry is located in the Norman C. Nelson Student Union (NN213-2A) and is available to students facing food insecurity.

Hours of operation

The Student Food Pantry is open Mondays from 1 to 4 p.m. and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (not including UMMC observed holidays).

Give to the pantry

The Office of Student Affairs manages the Student Food Pantry and welcomes the gifting of non-perishable items to stock the pantry. Non-perishable food items include:

  • canned goods (e.g., fruits, meats, sauces, soups, vegetables),
  • cereal (boxes or single-serve),
  • crackers, pasta and rice,
  • dry beans and lentils,
  • granola bars and instant oatmeals,
  • peanut butter and jellies and
  • shelf-stable milks.

The Student Food Pantry also includes personal care items, including, but not limited to:

  • body wash,
  • deodorant,
  • feminine products,
  • laundry detergents (liquids, pods and powders)
  • shampoo/conditioner and
  • toothbrushes and toothpastes.
